The Theme from Dr Pyser was only released on the 2005 remastered version of the album Whenever And Ever Amen. This album featured a total of seven bonus tracks, all of which are excellent, and one wonders why they were not included in the original release. Our version of the Theme From Dr Pyser is arranged for solo piano, so it requires no electric bass accompaniment. We have both the solo that Ben Folds plays on the album version, as well the solo featured on the DVD The Complete Sessions at West 54th. The solo from the DVD is the solo that Ben usually plays on his live shows. The Theme From Dr Pyser is one of the few Ben Folds pieces that has no vocals/lyrics, apart from a few "ba-ba-bahh's".
