The Little Shepherd Sheet Music

The Little Shepherd by Claude Debussy is one of six pieces of the piano suite Children's Corner. The suite is dedicated to Debussy's daughter Emma-Claude, and - unlike the title appears to suggest - is not intended as easy piano pieces for children. Instead Debussy saw the pieces in Children's Corner to reflect the nature of children, their playfulness, imagination and imagery. Interestingly enough all pieces have English titles, a possible hint towards Debussy’s love of all things English.
