The Twelve Days Of Christmas (The 12 Days of Christmas) is a traditional English Christmas Carol that was first published in 1780. The twelve days of Christmas start on Christmas Day and finish on the 5th January with the eve of Epiphany. The authors of both the text and the melody of The Twelve Days Of Christmas are unknown, that it is believed that the melody could be of French origin.

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!
