The sheet music for The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire) written by Mel Torme, is available below.

"The Christmas Song" was written by Mel Torme and Bob Wells in 1944. It is a classic Christmas song often subtitled as "Merry Christmas to You" or "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire". The song was written during an extremely hot summer. According to Torme he saw some written lines on Well´s piano: Jack Frost nipping - Chestnuts roasting - Yuletide carols - Folks dressed up like Eskimos". Wells thought that if he could immerse in winter he could cool off. After that the song was written in 40 minutes. Nat King Cole first recorded it with his trio in 1946, again in 1953 with a full orchestra, arranged and conducted by Nelson Riddle and in 1961 another orchestral but stereophonic version was conducted by Ralph Carmichael. This latter version is probably the most famous version of the song. Mel Torme recorded the song himself in 1954, 1961, 1966 and 1992.
