Jamie Lawson is an English Singer-Songwriter with a beautiful, often melancholy, voice and a gentle touch with his acoustic guitar.

We saw Jamie on April 24th, 2024 at the OMEARA in Borough, London and here is a review of the gig.

Jamie has returned to the stage after a 4 year gap, since becoming a father. He was supported by Henrik Irgens on the keyboard and on vocals although he did several solo numbers as well. His some-time co-writer LAKY, a young singer-songwriter from Kent, joined him for Napoleon Dynamite which they wrote together. Later on, the four singers from his support act, First Time Flyers, also joined him.

Jamie included a few anecdotes in between songs including a story about his 4 year old son who wouldn't talk to his father unless he took his hearing aids out! We get the idea that Jamie is constantly listening to music and has his earbuds in most of the time. In fact a lot of the songs throughout the evening were related to him being a first time father.

The most notable song of the evening was Can't See Straight which he co-wrote with Ed Sheeran leading to being the first act to release an album on his record label Gingerbread Man Record.

The show was the first gig in his 2024 tour at which he is promoting his new album, Little Weaknesses - his 6th album so far.
