With a last name like Clabby you are almost certainly going to not want to include that in your stage name and so Imelda May Clabby dropped it to have the simple, but beautiful name of Imelda May. Imelda is a Dubliner but move to London before she was 20. As well as a singer, she also plays the bodrhan, bass guitar, guitar and tambourine.

At Great Scores we like to see the artists we feature and it was our pleasure to go to the Indigo at the O2 in London to see Imelda May support the Bluesfest. She appeared on Bill Wyman's 80th Birthday Gala there which had a host of stars including Sir Bob Geldof, Van the Man Morrison (not in grumpy mode - much) and Mark Knopfler. She war firey and energetic. She is also appearing at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London on 28th November 2016 and we will be there - which Imelda will turn up? The wild child or the mellow jazz songstress - a bit of both we suspect.
