All You Need Is Love is a composition by John Lennon. The piece was written in 1967 at the request of the BBC, as the broadcaster required a piece in the show "Our World". The program "Our World" was transmitted on the 25 of June 1967 to no less than 31 countries, with the idea that artists would contribute on behalf of their home nation. It was the first worldwide television broadcast. All You Need Is Love includes some very tricky time signatures. The chorus consists of seven bars in 4/4-time and one in 2/4-time at the end. The verses, however, have two changes from 4/4-time to 3/4-time, followed by three bars in 4/4-time and one in 3/4-time, which has the effect of 7-4 bar.
