Promenade (Pictures at an Exhibition) Sheet Music Great Scores score
also known as Promenade for Pictures at an Exhibition Sheet Music

Artist and Writer: Modeste Mussorgsky (also known as Musorgsky Moussorgski)

Mussorgsky wrote the piano cycle Pictures at an Exhibition after visiting an exhibition of his friend, Victor Hartman. Each piece is a musical representation of a chosen painting, with The ballet of the Unhatched Chicks being a particularly vivid example of this. In between each picture, Mussorgsky placed a Promenade to represent the visitor's moving from one painting to the next. There are several Promenades, but they are all based on the same theme, and our arrangements incorporate all the themes of the different Promenades.

Pictures at an Exhibition was featured on the BBC's Play It Again TV program when Robert Winston tried to learn to play it on the Alto Sax.

Included here is our Brass Quintet scores for Promenade (Pictures at an Exhibition). Please note that if you buy the full score of Promenade (Pictures at an Exhibition), the individual parts are included in your purchase.
