Elvira Madigan Sheet Music
also known as KV 467, Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major, Klavierkonzert Nr. 21 C-Dur Sheet Music Artist and Writer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (also known as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilius Amadé Gottlieb ) |
Elvira Madigan is the alternate name from the second movement of
Mozart’s’ Piano Concerto in C major, K467. This movement became known
as “Elvira Madigan”, as it was used in the eponymous film. The concerto
is very difficult to perform, and is the litmus test for Mozart piano
concertos. Elvira Madigan herself was a Swedish dancer, and the film
tells the true-life story about her doomed love to a married man: after
eloping the Denmark, and running out of money, the couple has a final
meal, after which they commit suicide together.
