He has received airplay (radio & television) worldwide and earned awards from ASCAP, Billboard Magazine, American Song Festival, Ace Award and the Film Advisory Board.
Ric studied composition and related subjects under Pulitzer nominated composer Dr. Albert Harris, Bryant McKernan, John Shaffer Smith, Dr. James Drew, Dr. Peter Odegard (UC Irvine), Dr. Lloyd Rogers and has had lessons with Roy Harris, Halsey Stevens (USC), Leonard Stein (USC), film scoring at UCLA on an ASCAP scholarship.
