McFly is a British pop rock band who first found fame in 2004. The band was founded by Tom Fletcher (born 17 July 1985) and also consists of Danny Jones (born 12 March 1986), Dougie Poynter (born 30 November 1987) and Harry Judd (born 23 December 1985). They are signed to the Island Records label and are managed by Prestige Management.
McFly's debut album, Room on the 3rd Floor, debuted at #1 and is certified as double platinum. McFly are also the youngest band ever to have an album debut at #1. A month after their album was released, the band had their first headlining tour. The band's second album, Wonderland, also charted at #1 and was released in 2005. Their third album, Motion in the Ocean, was released on 6 November 2006 and charted at #6. The band released their All The Greatest Hits compilation album on 5 November 2007, which charted at #4.
As of October 2007, McFly have thirteen top ten singles, seven of which reached #1 in the UK Singles Chart. The band are currently in Australia recording their fourth studio album, as yet untitled, which is due to be released 20 July 2008.
