Rule Brittania Sheet Music

Rule Brittania! is actually a misspelling of the actual title, Rule Britannia (with two 'n's), but the erroneous spelling has become so wide-spread, that we have decided to add it as a separate tune with the incorrect spelling (which will continue for the course of this text). Rule, Brittania was written by the English composer Thomas Arne, and Rule Brittania is most famously associated with the Last Night of the Proms. Rule Brittania is based on a poem of the same name by James Thomson. Both Beethoven and Wagner have written works based on Rule Brittania, and Rule Brittania has been used in other countries using different title and text.
