Nonni and Manni is a children's TV series, which was first broadcast in 1988 on the German channel ZDF. Agust Gudmundsson was the director. The story is based on the eponymous book by author Icelandic Jón Sveinsson. The plot revolves around two boys, Nonni and Manni, who live on a farm on Iceland when hey hear of the death of their father. The bad news is brought to them by a stranger who in turn is suspected of the crime. Nonni and Manni however are convinced of his innocence and hide him. The story is set in 1869.
