The legendary John Lennon was one of The Beatles as well as having a successful solo career. A Scouser, he was always a great fan of, and faithful to, his home town of Liverpool.

He collaborated with Sir Paul Mcartney and together they became on of the most successful songwriting partners of their era. They composed many, many songs and almost everybody has a favourite. Ours is probably Hey Jude, potentially one of the best written songs, ever.

He was murdered by Mark Chapman who obviously had more than a screw loose. Earlier that day he got a copy of Double Fantasy signed by Lennon. He was sentenced for 20 years imprisonment and has never been released despite appealing for parole many times.
