Labrinth is signed up to simon Cowell's record label, Syco. He is set apart from the other acts also signed up inasmuch as, when he signed, he was the only artists who hadn't been discovered on a talent show for 6 years to be recruited.

Labrinth co-sang a hit with Tinie Tempah, Pass Out, which reached number one before releasing solo singles. Pass Out is a great song with slightly daft but infectious lyrics. It starts off a bit lame: "Its ok, Im good, Lets Go!, Yeah (yeah)" but then picks up speed with "We bring the stars out, We bring the women and the cars and the cards out, Lets have a toast a celebration get a glass out, And we can do this until we pass out."
